Let me start at the beginning to say how beautiful and unique Katy and Brad's love story is.
It all started in New York when Brad's mother told Katy of her wonderful son who had moved to Texas. Katy took Brad's number and gave him a call which, resulted in her coming to Texas to visit him. They completely fell in love and she moved all the way to Fort Worth , TX to be with Brad and they started dating.
The proposal was also extremely romantic and pretty sneaky. Katy went to float the river with one of her girlfriends. Brad knew the route where they would be floating and he prepared a sign with balloons hanging from one of the bridges crossing the river that exclaimed, " Katy WILL YOU MARRY ME?" Of course she said YES!!!
I had a great time at the Dallas Arboretum Botanical Gardens where all of the pink cherry trees were in blossom and the daffodils and tulips were in full bloom. They made the most beautiful backdrop for the engagement pictures.
When I left my home base of Justin, TX it had just started to sprinkle rain and I was extremely worried that we might have to cancel the engagement photoshoot which we had been planning for several weeks. Thankfully the rain held off for a couple of hours so we had plenty of time to take pictures of this amazing couple.
Katy and Brad are to be married September 3rd, 2016 in New York. I am looking forward to this happy day!
I will be completely honest. This is a brag and a shoutout post. First of all to Sarah, the beautiful, gorgeous girl in this picture below who found this wonderful location to have her Great Gatsby themed engagement session. Secondly I want to mention TangleWood Mom's Blog which did a whole blog post about the top 7 greatest places to have a photoshoot in Fort Worth.
