Sara Poyfair is a graduate of UTA with a bachelors degree in fine art photography. She first learned to use a camera in a high school photography class that she took so she could "play" her senior year. She immediately fell in love with photography. For years after she thought it was something she would like to do as a hobby, but didn't have the confidence or courage to go at it full steam till she was older. At 30 she went back to school to finally embrace her passion, and realize her dreams.
Sara describes her style as quiet, peaceful, and honest. Her day to day life is filled noise and busily rushing her four children about. In her photography she seeks a place to slow down and find the simple moments of life. She draws a sense of peace and calm from her images. When photographing people she waits for the moments when a subject lets their guard down and becomes "real" in front of the camera. She often works with special needs children, and loves the honesty they bring to a photo shoot.
