Taryn and Travis are getting married in May and to celebrate their engagement I took a trip out to Weatherford to photograph them on Tuesday.
Travis is in the Navy and so they have been dealing with the hardships of a long-distance relationship. It brought a different dynamic to the shoot that day because I could see there was such a joy of the two finally getting to see each other after such a long time. They were giddy and happy and I had such a blast!
First stop was the Weatherford Marina, where a bunch of fishermen stopped us midway and proceeded to thank Travis for his service in the military. Thankfully no one ended up falling into the water and we made it safe and sound back to Taryn's home.
At Taryn's house we took her father's perfectly restored antique yellow Chevy truck out to the pasture getting as much dirt on the tires as possible in the process. I made them pose every single way possible to show off that beautiful vehicle, Oh wait I mean to show off how cool of a couple they are....!
After that we finished with the Chevy we went off to explore the creek that Taryn loved to play in when she was little. It was really awesome getting to explore the unusual beauty found down in the nooks and crannies of the steep ravine where the creek usually runs.
Definitely one of my favorite aspects of the day was getting to meet the diverse range of family of pets that the Wright's have on their ranch. Their miniature ponies are so cute and Scruffy the dog is darn right adorable, even the aloof llama and proud goat. I wish both Taryn and Travis the best of luck and I cannot wait to be at their wedding in a couple of months.
